In the heart of Niger, thousands of nomadic Fulbe Wodaabes gather each year for a spectacular ceremony - the geerewol. During seven days and seven nights, two lineages are opposed in dance following the solar cycle, accompanied only by the mesmerizing litany of their polyphonic choirs. This documentary by the ethnomusicologist Sandrine LONCKE with its spectacular images and sounds is the fruit of ten years of research in which the director lived alongside this people whose very way of life is now threatened…
